When literary enchantment meets a medieval city
Created in 2004 by the Castellet Plus association, the Nuits du Conte (storytelling nights) have enchanted young and old alike over the years. The project began with a meeting between volunteers and storyteller Armelle Audigane. It was love at first sight, and the desire to share the art of storytelling with children and adults alike was born.
Every year for the past 20 years, the grounds of the château seigneurial du Castellet have been the setting for enchanting evenings. In particular, the square and garden welcome dozens of visitors, all of whom come to listen to traditional tales and legends. Between the exceptional setting of this medieval city with its unique architecture and the extraordinary worlds of the books, here's the winning combo for a few hours out of time!
Storytelling Nights at Castellet
If you're spending a few days in Provence Sud Sainte Baume, between the Mediterranean coast and the Var hinterland, take the opportunity to attend this event like no other. At the end of July, the Nuits du Conte du Castellet welcomes literature lovers, the simply curious and, of course, little bookworms. On the program, professional readers and musicians open the doors to a fabulous world.
Three evenings for an intergenerational audience, whether local or visiting our beautiful region. And best of all, the event is totally free! It's a great way to enjoy the mild summer twilight, (re)discover the village of Le Castellet in a different way and develop your imagination!
