The Southern Region
The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region is a local authority with a number of responsibilities defined by law. The Regional Council is made up of 123 regional councillors elected by universal suffrage. The Region has a budget and an administration responsible for implementing the decisions taken by this assembly. Through its actions, the Regional Council plays an active role in the region's economic, social and cultural development, directly impacting the daily lives of its 5 million inhabitants in a wide range of fields including the economy, tourism, transport, high schools, vocational training, sport and culture.

FNADT
The Fonds National d'Aménagement et de Développement du Territoire (FNADT) supports initiatives designed to give concrete form to the strategic choices of regional development policy, by financing both the investment and the running costs of these initiatives.
