Intercity lines: getting from one village to another
The Provence Sud Sainte Baume intercommunal bus network comprises 3 main routes, all managed by the ZOU! company. These connect 8 of the 9 communes that make up our territory, namely : Sanary-sur-mer, Bandol, Saint-Cyr-sur-mer, La Cadière d'Azur, Le Castellet, Le Beausset, Évenos and Signes. So even if you're staying inland, there's nothing to stop you spending a few hours by the sea. On the other hand, if you spend a few hours wandering along our beautiful coastal paths, you'll have no trouble getting back to your vacation rental in the hinterland.
Here are the 3 bus routes you should keep in mind during your stay with us:
- Route 880: departing from La Ciotat (13), this line serves the towns of Saint-Cyr-sur-mer, La Cadière d'Azur, Le Castellet and Le Beausset.
- Route 885: from Toulon, it crosses our territory to take you straight to Sanary-sur-mer and Bandol.
- Line 888: still departing from Toulon, this line takes you inland to Évenos, Le Beausset, Le Castellet, La Cadière d'Azur and Signes.
Good to know: read the timetable for each line carefully! Some of them only run during school vacations, and some towns are only served once a day. So pay close attention to the timetables!
After the theory, it's time for practice! There are a few things you need to know, and a few tips to apply, to ensure that your public transport journeys go as smoothly as possible.
- To reach Sanary-sur-mer (line 885): the stops that will take you directly into the town center are those located between the "Centre Culturel" and "La Micheline".
- To Bandol (line 885): the nearest stop to the port is the "Casino" terminus.
- To visit Saint-Cyr-sur-mer (line 880): if you want to make a splash on the beach at Les Lecques, the stop is called "Jardin de la Mer". If, on the other hand, you want to explore the village, choose "Le Lavoir". And if, after a hike along the coastal path, you want to return to Bandol, your stop should be "Le Viguier".
- To get to Évenos (line 888): the stop in the town center is called "Sainte-Anne".
- To reach Le Beausset (lines 880 and 888): choose any of the stops between "Halte routière" and "11 novembre 1918". All located on the village's main avenue, these stops are right in the heart of the village.
- To visit Le Castellet (lines 880 and 888): first of all, no bus will take you to the medieval town. As it is situated on a hilltop accessible by a small road surrounded by vineyards, conventional public transport cannot reach it. The nearest stop is "Real Martin". But from here, it's a 40-minute uphill walk along the road (at least on the outward journey). That's why, to discover this pearl of the Var, we recommend you take the car.
- To get to La Cadière d'Azur (lines 880 and 888): stop at the "Chemin des Baumes". From here, it's a ten-minute walk to the top of the village.
- To get to Signes (line 888): nothing could be simpler, just go to the terminus, the "Gare Routière".

Urban lines: exploring a single village
There are other bus networks in Provence Sud Sainte Baume, but this time to get around within the same town. These include the seaside towns of Saint-Cyr-sur-mer, Bandol and Sanary-sur-mer.
As well as taking you to the most interesting corners of each village, these public transport lines are also an excellent way of connecting stations that are a little too far out of town. Sanary-sur-mer/Ollioules and Saint-Cyr-les-Lecques/La Cadière d'Azur, for example, are both more than 30 minutes' walk from town centers.

Good to know: if you want to visit the "Most beautiful market in France" in 2016, i.e. the Wednesday market in Sanary-sur-mer, we advise you to use the shuttles provided by the commune. This will avoid any parking problems.
Les lignes estivales 2025 : relier la côte à l'arrière-pays
Pour l’été 2025, Sud Sainte Baume Agglo met en place des lignes un peu spéciales. Ces premiers trajets « test » ont pour objectif de permettre à tout visiteur de notre destination de relier facilement les cités balnéaires de notre littoral méditerranéen aux villages perchés de notre arrière-pays.
Ainsi, du 5 juillet au 31 août 2025, deux itinéraires verront le jour :
- Esti’Bus 1 : le premier permettra de traverser notre territoire du sud vers le nord avec un trajet depuis Sanary-sur-mer jusqu’à Signes, en passant par Le Castellet, Le Beausset et Bandol.
- Esti’Bus 2 : cette fois-ci, nous serons sur un voyage d’ouest en est, avant comme départ Evenos et comme arrivée Sanary-sur-mer. Sur la route, vous pourrez vous arrêter au Beausset, à La Cadière d’Azur, à Saint-Cyr-sur-mer ou encore à Bandol.
Si vous n’arrivez pas à vous décider sur quelle ligne choisir, la bonne nouvelle est que celles-ci se croisent au niveau du Beausset. Cette correspondance vous permet ainsi de non seulement naviguer simplement sur tout le territoire, mais également de multiplier les trajets possibles !

🍒 Cerise sur le gâteau : sucre perlé sur la Tropézienne, les arrêts ont été définis en fonction des intérêts touristiques de notre région. Par exemple, la commune de Saint-Cyr-sur-mer est relativement vaste, mais les escales concernées par ces lignes estivales vous permettront d’accéder à la fameuse baie des Lecques ou encore au Golf Frégate. Il en est de même pour les villages de La Cadière d’Azur et du Castellet, jusque-là accessibles de manière plus ou moins évidente avec les lignes interurbaines. Eh bien, à l’été 2025, nos bus vous mèneront directement au pied de ces cités perchées.
