Since 2013 the Lido beach is classified as "excellent quality".

Description

Lido Beach extends from Dorée Beach; together, they form the largest beach in Sanary.

You’ll find parking spaces all along the Route de Bandol overlooking the beaches, as well as a stand-up paddle rental service, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful outing on the water.

After Portissol Beach, Lido Beach was awarded the “Handiplage” label in June 2017. This initiative is designed to promote the inclusion of people with reduced mobility through beach leisure and enjoyment. The label is reflected in concrete facilities such as:

A dedicated reception point for people with disabilities
Reserved and adapted parking spaces
Access mats leading to the water
Beach wheelchairs for water access (tiralo and hippocampe)
Adapted showers and toilets

In addition, a lifeguard from the first aid station is available to assist with water access. It should also be noted that the “handiplage” staff have received specific training to meet the needs of people with disabilities.

These facilities are available from April to September, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (only when the green flag is displayed).

Swimming supervision is provided by certified lifeguards (BNSSA), assisted by first aiders (PSE2):

From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on public holidays and weekends in May, at Dorée/Lido Beach, Gorguette Beach, and Portissol Beach
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., every day from June 1 to August 31, on all beaches
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., every day from September 1 to September 30, on all beaches

During the municipal council meeting of February 25, 2015, the municipality committed to certifying the management of bathing water quality in order to guarantee safe sanitary conditions for beach users. Since the first audit conducted in July 2015, this certification has been confirmed following annual audits carried out by an independent inspection body.

Outside of these periods and supervision hours, the public swims at their own risk.
