What is a fête votive?
A fête votive, also known as a fête patronale, is a celebration organized by a village in honor of its patron saint. These religious festivities originated in Provence. Each commune has its own traditions and customs to celebrate important local figures.
Today, these events are an opportunity for everyone, locals and curious visitors from the surrounding area, to share a few hours together, around concerts, special evenings and festive meals.
Evenos Votive Festival
In Evenos, all the hamlets host these celebrations: Le Broussan, Sainte-Anne d'Evenos and the old village, also known as Nèbre.
Every year in July, the Comité Permanent des Fêtes d'Evenos pulls out all the stops to bring you exceptional fêtes votives. Residents and visitors alike come together for a variety of events, including themed evenings, bands, pétanque competitions and a bingo. These events are ideal for families and groups of friends alike, the main aim being to have a great time!
